Ledo offers music makers the option to split any royalty income they earn with a track through Ledo’s distribution service with their contributors (for example other artists or creatives they worked with on that track) directly, as well as with individual members of their own profile(s) (for example their manager, lawyer, or a composer). To split your Ledo distribution royalties for a certain track with a contributor, all you need to do is register to Ledo and create a profile for the artist, band or group you wish to represent, invite your contributors to join Ledo and set the royalty splits for each contributor. As soon as you have allocated a royalty split to your contributor(s), your contributor(s) will automatically receive payment of their royalty split, together with a statement, directly through Ledo. In case you work with multiple artists, every artist must have their own Ledo user account and build their own profile. Royalties are accounted and paid out monthly. Only the uploader of a track can allocate, stop or change any royalty splits allocated to other profiles. Royalty splits can be set and changed in the royalty split section or track details for each track.

Example royalty split between music makers and their contributors:

Lemon (feat. Drake) - N.E.R.D & Rihanna
Profile - Rihanna 35%
Profile - N.E.R.D 35%
Profile - Drake 30%

TOTAL 100% royalties

In addition to allowing music makers to split their Ledo distribution royalties with other music makers and content creators as part of a Collab, Ledo also offers music markers the ability to share their royalties with individual members of their profile.

If you wish to share your Ledo distribution royalties with individual band, group or other team members (for example your manager or lawyer), you can invite them to join your profile on Ledo as a profile member and allocate a certain royalty split of your royalties to each profile member individually using the royalty split functionality in your profile settings. As soon as you have allocated a royalty split to a specific profile member, he or she will automatically receive payment of their royalty split, together with a statement, directly through Ledo. Royalties are accounted and paid out monthly. You can invite anyone to become a member of your profile who needs to receive a share of your Ledo distribution royalties. Only the uploader of a track can allocate, stop or change any royalty splits allocated to profile members.

Example royalty split between individual members of a profile:

Profile - Fleetwood Mac (band)
Peter Green - guitarist 22,5%
Mick Fleetwood - drummer 22,5%
Jeremy Spencer - guitarist 22,5%
John McVie - bassist 22,5%
Clifford Davis - artist manager 10%

TOTAL: 100% royalties

When starting a Collab with the royalty share option, the royalty split percentage and royalty split period that you agreed upon with your Collaborator will be automatically implemented and terminated at the end of the agreed royalty period. As soon as the agreed royalty split has been allocated to your Collaborator, he or she will automatically receive payment of their royalty split directly through Ledo during the selected period of time. The minimum period during which you can give a royalty split to your Collaborator as part of a Collab is three months. Royalty splits allocated to a Collaborator as part of a Collab cannot be changed or stopped during the agreed royalty split period.

Only the uploader of a track can allocate, stop or change any royalty splits on revenue earned in connection with a certain track to other profiles. Royalty splits can be allocated to other profiles (for example other music makers and content creators), and, subsequently, royalties allocated to a certain profile can be shared amongst the individual members of that profile by allocating royalty splits to individual profile members. Any changes made to royalty splits are reflected on the royalties accounted by Ledo after such changes were made. Royalty splits allocated to a Collaborator as part of a Collab cannot be changed or stopped during the agreed royalty split period.
